To find a template, open CapCut, go to the Templates tab and search “skull cap”. Before you pick one, it helps to know what a template can and can’t do compared with a generator like our skull cap AI generator.

What a template does

A CapCut template is a saved edit. Someone sets up the cuts, timing, effects and often the sound, and you swap in your own photos or clips. Everything else stays the same as in the original edit.

  • It is fast, and many templates are free to use.
  • It only works with footage you already have. For the skull cap trend, that means a clip or photo of you actually wearing a skull cap for the after shot.
  • It can’t put a cap or a hoodie on you, or change your expression.

What generating a clip does

An AI generator makes a new video. Ours takes one photo and renders a 10-second vertical clip: you without the cap, grinning, ruffling your hair and holding one up, then a hard cut about 4 to 5 seconds in to you in a plain black skull cap and black hoodie, glasses off, in a dark red-lit room, with a cold, confident stare. You don’t need to own a cap or film anything.

  • It is paid, per video.
  • It takes a few minutes instead of seconds.
  • The file is silent, so you add the sound in TikTok, Reels, Shorts or CapCut.

Which one to use

A template is enough if

  • You own a skull cap and can film the before and the after.
  • You want it free and don’t mind doing the filming.

The generator makes more sense if

  • You don’t own a skull cap, or don’t want to buy one for a joke.
  • You don’t want to film yourself.
  • You want to see how you’d look in one before you film it.

You can also combine them: make the clip here, then import the MP4 into CapCut for the sound and text. The posting steps are in how to do the skull cap AI trend, and the free options are on the skull cap AI free page.

Skull cap CapCut template FAQ

Is there a skull cap CapCut template?

Open CapCut, go to the Templates tab and search “skull cap”. Trend templates come and go fast, so what you find changes from week to week.

What is the difference between a template and an AI generator?

A template is a fixed edit: you drop in your own photos or clips and it applies the same cuts, effects and timing. An AI generator makes a new video. Ours takes one photo and renders you without a cap, the cut, and you in a black skull cap.

Do I need a skull cap for a template?

Usually yes. A template edits footage you give it, so for the after shot you need a clip or photo of yourself in a cap. The AI generator adds the cap for you.

Can I use the AI clip inside CapCut?

Yes. Download the MP4 and import it into CapCut like any video, then add the sound, text or extra edits there.
